Actron CP9449 Works perfectly for what it is intended for

I purchased this 2 weeks ago for my 2001 Alero with dash lights annoying me and also cause I needed an inspection sticker. The unit was much larger than I expected. The manual could be more comprehensive but the unit is very easy to use and it only took 5 minutes to diagnose my problem. Two new front wheel bearings and my dash lights are out and I have a sticker. Make sure if you are buying one of these units that it will work on the car or truck you intend to use it on. I paid $109.00 with free shipping. The hubs I replaced were both covered under lifetime warranties so I paid nothing for them and it takes about an hour a hub to replace. Take that same job to a auto repair shop and your talking about $700.00. My next purchase will be an Actron engine code scanner.

Thought had to take to dealer (as usual) for abs issues--2x since owned veh. When I encountered ANOTHER abs light knew had to find better way-ran into this product--not so sure would do all as description implies,contacted their customer service (good\knowledgable people) and walked me through process no problem. Found 2 codes and was able to read on the scanner what they were! Truly amazed me!!
You'll need to use a UBS cable to download most current info took about half hr. Inorder to do this the product MUST be registered.
R&R 2 sensors a few starts later abs light went out--have not had any issues since, an incredible diag tool for the DIY'R.
Check the PDF file make sure your veh listed prior purchase--avoiding a dissapointment,just a suggestion!

Actron CP9449 nice scanner

Bought this to troubleshoot problems with a montecarlo. The tool worked great fast easy to use clear screen. plugs in the OBD2 port.I had a bad rear wheel sensor. Buying the scanner and wheel sensor was a lot cheaper than having the dealer do it.

Actron CP9449 Great unit

This is my second Actron unit. My regular scan tool wouldn't read the brake ECM. What a great item this is. Pinpoints the problem and saves the guesswork. Gives the code and the Code explanation - "open circuit LF Speed Sensor". Sure enough the lead had broken inside the sensor plug from the harness. Also saves the history with back up 9v battery. Shows Current or history. Pays for itself with first repair. It's a wow. USB for firmware upgrade if needed. Nice case.

Actron CP9449 Actron ABS Code Reader

Works as advertised, easy to use, great price. Read the codes quickly and easily. There are only two drawbacks:
1. The list of compatible vehicles is somewhat limited and there is no guarantee that other vehicles will be added to the list.
2. The case is terrible - it's a nice looking case but it doesn't firmly hold the scanner.

Note: Make sure your vehicle is on the list of compatible vehicles.

Actron CP9449 ABS Scan Tool,

This item is just what I needed. I was able to pull the code and it told me exactly what I needed to fix. The cost was well worth not having to take it to a garage. It was a good addition to my tool box.
